Miss Susanne is the owner and director of Lighthouse Day School and teaches the 4 and 5-year-old children who will be entering into Kindergarten.  Her vision for high-quality early education has been a driving force in creating Lighthouse Day School’s learning environment.  Miss Susanne holds a BA in Early Childhood Education and has created her own version of the perfect curriculum for young children. Being born in Germany, she has drawn inspiration from European philosophies such as Maria Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Creative Curriculum which have influenced her teaching style and helped create a program that is based on each child's individual curiosity to learn and explore.  She utilizes her musical skills and uses her guitar to engage the children in learning through music.  With over 30 years of experience, Miss Susanne has truly used her passion for young children to create a wonderful and warm learning environment that prepares young children for entry into the school system.

Miss Lindsay is a native Topekan and has been working with the 3- and 4-year old’s for the past 6 years. She holds an Associates Degree in Business Management and has over 20 years’ experience in the field of Early Childhood Education.  She is familiar with philosophies such as Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Creative Curriculum. Additionally, she is very skilled in using a conscious discipline approach in her classroom and relates well to all the children in our program.  Her extensive background in Foster Care and her creative and fun nature make her the perfect teacher for young children.

Miss Tara is a dedicated childcare professional with a strong passion for her work. With four years of experience caring for children ranging from infants to 12 years old, she is committed to providing a nurturing and engaging environment. Currently, she is pursuing her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and continues to seek opportunities for professional growth. Miss Tara's philosophy is rooted in the golden rule, and she is deeply invested in the well-being and development of each child in her care. She believes in making learning a fun and interactive experience through various activities, including craft time. Her warm and caring personality, combined with her intuition for each child's needs, makes her an exceptional educator and caregiver.
